In this role, you will be the friendly face behind the counter, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling specialty beverage preparation including dirty sodas, milkshakes and other non-alcoholic beverages. You will be responsible for taking customer food and beverage orders, cashiering, and food safety responsibilities. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will ensure a smooth operation in our fast-paced food service setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, sales, and restaurant operations while contributing to a vibrant community space.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, ice cream and desserts with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards
• Package and bag to go food and beverage orders
• Serve dine-in food and beverage orders
• Operate POS system (touch screen ordering system) to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, take orders, and upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning food prep stations - including sweeping and mopping daily, emptying trash and other duties as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshnessSkills
• Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food industry roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
