Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST POS system
- Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including specials and wine pairings
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Assist with setting up tables, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain guest relations by providing attentive service and addressing special requests or dietary needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed; experience in serving or host/host roles is advantageous
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is beneficial but not required
