Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards in production, food handling, and sanitation practices
- Support food service operations by plating dishes efficiently and ensuring timely delivery to guests or catering events
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours, ensuring quality and consistency
- Wash and sanitize dishes and ensure to keep all areas of the kitchen clean.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating strong food industry knowledge
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving operations is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
