Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tow Truck Driver to join our team. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing and transporting vehicles to designated locations. This is a crucial role in our organization as you will be providing assistance to stranded motorists.
Duties:
- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles from breakdown sites, accident scenes.
- Perform automotive diagnostics to determine the cause of vehicle breakdowns
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using appropriate equipment.
- Secure vehicles properly to prevent damage during transportation
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the tow truck
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting stranded motorists and maintaining a professional demeanor
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Perform basic automotive repairs or assist with mechanical issues when necessary
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Knowledge of manual transmission operation
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair procedures
- Ability to operate a flatbed safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
