Position Summary
Bob Johnson Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Title Clerk / Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vehicle sales paperwork, ensuring compliance with DMV requirements, billing deals accurately, and maintaining dealership records. This position plays a critical role in ensuring transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review, audit, and process all vehicle deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
- Print and organize deal jackets and supporting documentation.
- Process vehicle title and registration paperwork in accordance with state regulations.
- Submit title work to the DMV and monitor title status.
- Verify funding requirements and ensure all required documents are obtained.
- Bill new and used vehicle deals into the dealership management system.
- Reconcile schedules related to titles, registrations, and receivables.
- Communicate with sales staff, finance managers, lenders, customers, and state agencies regarding documentation issues.
- Maintain accurate records and files for all vehicle transactions.
- Assist with registration renewals, duplicate titles, payoff processing, and lien releases.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and state and federal regulations.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Previous automotive title clerk, billing clerk, accounting clerk, or dealership administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DMV regulations and title processing procedures preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
