We are currently seeking experienced-level Mechanics to join our Boart Longyear team. This is an “on the road” position with a 14/7 roster including potential night-shift work hours. Responsibilities
- Assisting with repairs on diesel powered hydraulic systems and machinery
- Supporting and assisting with diagnosis of hydraulic problems in equipment with a quick turnaround for getting rigs back in operations
- Performing basic maintenance of equipment
- Working safely while meeting all compliance requirements
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of tools and mechanical systems preferred
- Basic knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations preferred or willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of duplex and triplex mud pumps preferred or willingness to learn
- Able to list 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and a demanding 14-on/7-off schedule with night shift potential.
- Must be willing to travel to field locations across the US
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Willingness to acquire necessary tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a CDL
- Must be able to be MSHA/OSHA certified
