Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, personalized food and beverage service to guests in poolside and aquatics areas
- Greet guests warmly and engage using guest names whenever possible to create a memorable experience
- Take accurate orders and deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally
- Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests, ensuring a high level of satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including cabanas, seating areas, and poolside stations
- Uphold all safety and sanitation standards, including responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with culinary and bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations with confidence and product knowledge
- Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous serving experience preferred; hospitality or resort experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- High energy, positive attitude, and strong sense of urgency
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service (per Virginia law)
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry trays, food, and beverages (up to 25 lbs)
- Ability to work in outdoor, seasonal conditions
