Essential Job Functions
- Receive and seat guests as needed.
- Provide details on the food and beverage offerings. Take orders, answer questions about menu items and deliver food and beverages.
- Maintain all liquor and wine par levels and complete daily or weekly requisitions.
- Closely monitor guests dining experiences and report any issues to Restaurant Manager.
- Follow and satisfy Forbes Travel Guide Service and AAA Four Diamond Service Expectations.
- Follow department opening/closing checklist procedures.
- Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness.
- Create guest checks and payments.
- Responsible and accountable for all equipment and materials handled.
- Acquire and practice exceptional menu/wine/liquor knowledge and up-selling techniques.
- Attend training sessions and complete training project tasks.
- Communicate and maintain strong relationships with other departments.
- Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
- Telephone conversation is calm and clear.
- The guest is always asked permission before being placed on hold.
- No telephone hold longer than 30 seconds without offering call-back.
- Staff acknowledges the guest when appropriate and reasonably possible.
- Staff is highly articulate and avoids slang and excessive use of phrase-fragments.
- Staff is polite and maintains a gracious tone and appropriate pace throughout the interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- At least 1 year of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant.
- Polite, friendly demeanor.
- Neat, clean appearance.
- Willing to follow rules for sanitary food service.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt, effective service.
- Ability to operate Micros to enter orders and prepare checks.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- At least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
