Job Summary:

This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of mutual fund data through reconciliations, trade and cash processing oversight, and ongoing data maintenance. The position offers exposure to multiple operational functions and cross-team collaboration within a leading financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mutual Fund Data Management: Report, verify, and maintain mutual fund data across internal systems, client channels, and third-party data vendors. Record trade instructions and income accruals in the accounting system.
- Reconciliations & Break Resolution: Perform daily reconciliations on trade capture, cash balances, holdings, and accruals. Investigate breaks and resolve mismatches between internal and external records.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare periodic financial statements, reconcile against internal records, and verify tax statements before submission to the Tax Department. Provide reporting support to business units and clients.
- Project & Process Support: Contribute to department or firm-wide initiatives focused on operational efficiency and automation within trade capture and reconciliation processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 1–3 years of financial services experience, ideally within mutual funds or asset management operations
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies
- Familiarity with trade capture, cash reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working with mutual fund data and reconciliation platforms
- Prior exposure to client reporting or operational data integrity functions
- Knowledge of automation tools or process improvement methodologies
