We are seeking a strong operational leader to join our team as Director of Operations. This role is ideal for a results-driven manufacturing professional who can lead through both strategy and execution, build high-performing teams, and improve operational performance across multiple functions.

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing core operational functions at BMZ USA, including Production, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Service, Logistics, and Facilities coordination. This leader will drive operational excellence by improving performance, productivity, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency while developing scalable processes that support business growth.

This position requires a hands-on, visible leader who can align teams, establish accountability, implement meaningful KPIs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.

What You Will Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations across key manufacturing and support functions to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality performance
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support company objectives, customer satisfaction, and future growth
  • Build, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to strengthen performance and accountability
  • Establish, monitor, and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, labor efficiency, inventory, and cost
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce waste, improve throughput, and support operational scalability
  • Partner cross-functionally to align production planning, staffing, engineering, quality, and logistics with business needs
  • Provide leadership oversight for industrial engineering efforts related to production line design, layout, capacity planning, and infrastructure requirements
  • Improve inventory control, material flow, and logistics processes to support accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Ensure operational compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable industry requirements
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for operational effectiveness
  • Develop and standardize operating procedures and best practices across departments
  • Ensure facilities and operational infrastructure are capable of supporting current production requirements and future business plans
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Managing Director on operational priorities, risks, and growth initiatives

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years of progressive operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience leading multiple operational functions such as production, quality, engineering, logistics, or supply chain
  • Strong background in KPI management, process improvement, and operational problem-solving
  • Experience building and leading teams through growth, change, and performance improvement
  • Strong business judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English


Preferred

  • Experience in battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, automotive, industrial assembly, or other technical manufacturing environments
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience
  • Experience supporting facility planning, line layout, and manufacturing scale-up
  • Bilingual skills are a plus

This role is based in a manufacturing environment and requires regular presence on the production floor. The position may involve walking the facility, interacting with equipment and personnel, and using required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
