Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures
- Have a working knowledge of vehicle parts and diagnostics for problem solving
- Speak clearly on the telephone and convey an image of professionalism and competence to callers
- Handle telephone orders efficiently, including preparation of necessary paperwork thoroughly and accurately
- Ability to retrieve, load and deliver items of various sizes and weights (up to 100 lbs.) in operable and undamaged condition
- Perform numerical calculations with a high degree of accuracy
- Receiving parts in shipping area, stocking parts, and maintaining inventory along with displays
- Maintain good housekeeping habits within counter/customer area and warehouse area
- Participate in annual inventory count
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to operate a computer and telephone system
- Previous automotive parts experience is required
- Excellent customer service skills, along with strong phone and e-mail communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of inventory management, stocking, reporting, and shipping
