- Perform setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure with guidance from senior engineers.
- Integrate multi‑vendor solutions using a vendor‑agnostic design approach.
- Monitor capacity and prepare scalability forecasts and recommendations.
- Ensure system availability, redundancy, backups, and recoverability through proactive operational processes (installations, patches, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and high‑availability design).
- Collaborate on complex technical projects within a large enterprise IT environment.Support long‑term planning and lifecycle requirements for infrastructure systems.
- Document system designs, configurations, lessons learned, and best practices.Take action based on service metrics and operational reports to ensure stability and security.
- Participate in infrastructure lifecycle management to minimize operational risk and ensure continuity.
- Work collaboratively within BMW’s global infrastructure network—including product owners, operations managers, and technical teams—to ensure global standards and procedures are followed.
- Ensure adherence to BMW Group strategy across technical decisions.
- Maintain technical security architecture, platform availability, performance, and maintenance routines.
- Provide technical direction to contractors, service providers, and internal partners.Support ITIL processes such as change, incident, and configuration management.Present infrastructure topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Negotiate project scope, schedule, and budget with stakeholders.
- Develop and analyze reports to ensure SLAs are met and operational processes are consistently followed.
- Recommend and support quality‑improvement initiatives and stay informed of emerging trends and innovations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Passion for IT technologies and innovative digital solutions.Experience with Azure AD and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
- Experience with agile tools and methods.Strong communication, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Self‑motivated, structured, and results‑oriented.Strong vendor, interface, and process‑management skills.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud architecture, network operations, databases, programming, data analytics, enterprise IT, and/or end‑user device deployments
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
- THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th – May 14th, 2027.
- Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.
