- Corporate strategy and roadmap definition: Responsible for leading the annual strategic planning cycle to define the three-year strategic and financial outlook for BMC globally and our core business units

BMC is looking for a high caliber corporate strategy leader to join our Corporate Initiatives (CI) team. In this role, you will work closely with BMC executives and team members to define and deliver BMC’s most critical strategic initiatives. This role offers exposure to the full breadth of our business and the opportunity to partner with senior executives in executing their change agenda. In this role you’ll be a leader within the CI team and will play an integral role in setting the long-term direction of BMC.

- Play an active role in structuring and driving BMC’s annual strategic business review and planning processes, supporting strategy development for specific business units.
- Coach and develop junior team members within our CI team as well as other cross-functional team members, looking for ways to empower and train our team on a variety of hard and soft leadership skills.
- Lead the planning, structuring, and execution BMC’s most critical corporate strategic priorities, working closely with business units, functions, and senior level executives.
- Conduct and oversee research and data analysis as inputs to strategic decision-making impacting customer focus, product portfolio, go-to-market strategies, and corporate business models.
- Participate in acquisition integration projects, realizing the maximum value from our M&A strategy.
- Scope and manage projects that require cross-functional collaboration; set deadlines; assign responsibilities; monitor progress; and recruit buy-in and support as necessary.
- Develop, analyze and prepare information for presentation to senior level executives and the Board.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- You hold a BA/BS degree in business, science, engineering or similar discipline preferred, MBA, MA, or other graduate degree a plus.
- You have 4-8 years’ experience in corporate strategy, consulting, private equity, or tech strategy/operations function; experience in tech / software a plus.
- You have a strong background in conceptual problem solving and analytical skills (strong Excel skills, familiarity with Tableau, SQL, and/or Python a plus).
- You have a proven track record of structuring and leading cross-functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
- Ability to lead and manage a cross-functional project team and CI team members, proven experience in coaching and developing team members.
- Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $129,375 - $215,625
