Position Responsibilities
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
Reconcile vendor statements and other financial documents
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assist Accounting/HR Manager with financial reporting, payroll, maintaining employee attendance and employee records, and employee benefits administration
Support Accounting/HR Manager with company month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
Additional responsibilities as determined and assigned by CEO and/or Accounting/HR Manager
Professional Requirements
Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or similar role
Human Resources and Payroll experience a plus
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and GAAP
Proficient in using accounting and payroll software
Sage 50 and ADP experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with general ledger accounting
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Education Requirements
High School Diploma
Associate's degree or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Valid Drivers License
