Job Tasks/Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Coordinate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to plan and prioritize daily tasks and production schedules.
- Monitor food levels and replenish supplies as needed to maintain efficient workflow.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures, including temperature monitoring, storage, and labeling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including equipment, storage areas, and refrigeration units.
- Assist with the receiving and storage of food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, including proper use of kitchen equipment and handling of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service hours.
- Participate in menu development and recipe testing as directed by the culinary leadership team.
- Support special events and banquet functions by preparing and plating dishes according to event specifications.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely food service.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attending training sessions and staff meetings as required by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
- Understands and consistently follows proper sanitation practices including those for personal hygiene.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Executive Chef
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Food safety certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
Education and/or Experience
Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and a strong Food & Beverage background
Salary : $15 - $20
