Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage stations, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy in cash handling
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure availability of ingredients, cups, utensils, and cleaning materials
- Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and beverage service to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively engage with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales totals accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
