Sr. Accountant (CPA Required)

BlueSky is partnering with a large client looking to hire a Sr. Accountant to the corporate accounting team. This role will support the corporate accounting function for a multi-entity, private equity-backed company with approximately $800M in annual revenue. The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, and supporting the integration of acquisitions across the organization.

This position offers significant visibility to senior leadership and exposure to a complex, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple legal entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple subsidiaries.
• Support the accounting and integration of acquired businesses.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with operational and finance teams across multiple business units.
• Assist with external audit requests and annual financial statement audits.
• Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhancement of internal controls.
• Assist with special projects, technical accounting research, and ad hoc reporting requests.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, mix of public and private preferred.
• Experience serving middle-market or large corporate environments.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting environments.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills.
