Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in South Bend, IN, for a Restoration Technician Assistant. In this role, you will assist the team in carrying out water, fire, and mold restoration tasks, including supporting mitigation efforts, managing water damage restoration processes, and ensuring prompt service delivery. Responsibilities include operating restoration equipment, monitoring drying conditions, and cooperating with team members to guarantee client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Drive the work van when needed (during meals, calls, or emergency dispatches)
- Assist with water damage restoration, cleanup, demolition, and equipment setup
- Load/unload fans, dehumidifiers, tools, and supplies
- Prepare the van each morning with the correct tools and equipment
- Move equipment in and out of homes and commercial buildings
- Follow instructions quickly during emergency jobs
- Keep the work vehicle clean and organized
- Communicate professionally with customers when needed
- Be available for occasional late‑night emergency calls (paid at overtime rates)
- Keep job documentation organized, including itemized receipts, materials used, and equipment notes for each project
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Water Damage and Water Damage Restoration techniques
- Familiarity with Mitigation processes related to restoration services
- Strong Communication skills for client interactions and teamwork
- Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving equipment
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in restoration are a plus
- Proactive problem-solving skills and an ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Must speak English clearly
- Spanish‑speaking is a strong plus (extra work opportunities)
