In This Role
In this role, you will design and deliver high-reliability software solutions that keep global datacenter telemetry healthy, accurate, and actionable. You will work across large, distributed systems to ensure sensor data is collected, validated, monitored, and integrated into critical operational pipelines. You will collaborate with engineering partners, operations teams, and data platform groups to enhance system resilience, automate health checks, and support preventative monitoring strategies at hyperscale.
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain telemetry monitoring pipelines and automated validation frameworks.
• Develop high-quality C#/.NET code for data processing, integration, and sensor health automation.
• Implement and optimize alerting logic, diagnostic workflows, and telemetry-health rules.
• Integrate new telemetry data sources into existing systems, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed environments by analyzing logs, telemetry behavior, and system dependencies.
• Contribute to design reviews, architectural discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Support downstream consumers by improving data usability, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align requirements, address emerging needs, and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Provide updates to leadership, participate in engineering reviews, and communicate system health insights.
• Continuously improve telemetry resilience through system enhancements and preventative monitoring approaches.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 7 years of professional software development experience.
• 8 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET, or equivalent object-oriented languages.
• Strong background in building and supporting distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale telemetry, observability, or monitoring platforms.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, monitoring tools, and alerting frameworks.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively in a fast-moving engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with KQL (Kusto Query Language) for data analysis and telemetry diagnostics.
• Familiarity with datacenter operations, IoT telemetry, or environmental sensor systems.
• Background in building automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, or validation frameworks.
• Experience contributing to architecture decisions for large distributed systems.
• Ability to translate telemetry data problems into scalable, long-term engineering solutions.
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $140,000 USD annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
