An award-winning architecture and design practice known for creating thoughtful, sustainable spaces that connect people, communities, and their environments is seeking a Job Captain, to help them lead the technical development and delivery of medium-scale architectural projects. You’ll coordinate consultants, guide junior staff, and ensure design intent is translated into high-quality construction documents at their Austin, TX office.
Your Day Includes
- Manage feasibility studies, schematic designs, working drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, delegate assignments, and guide junior staff.
- Develop programming, site planning, construction documents, and project deliverables.
- Coordinate drawings and specifications while supporting quality control and construction administration.
- Attend project meetings, conduct field observations, and communicate project status to leadership and clients.
Must Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive technical and design production experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, zoning, materials, specifications, and construction administration.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp or Rhino; rendering experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and client-management skills; LEED AP preferred.
