Veterinary Technician Supervisor

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Rockville, MD is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician Supervisor with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and develop a team of veterinary professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a leader in a dynamic team of veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical skills and have strong passion for training and mentoring. This position requires someone with strong communication, time management and organizational skills. Pay: $31.50 - $49.00 / hour competitive shift differentials

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will…

• Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge. 
• Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations. 
• Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings. 
• Organize training schedules for Patient Care staff. 
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
• Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans. 
• Other related duties as assigned.
