Flex/ Event Security Officer - Prior law enforcement/ Military

Blueline Security Services is currently seeking professional, highly qualified Security Officers and Special Police Officer candidates to join our team at Apple retail locations throughout Washington, DC. These are not ordinary retail assignments-Apple stores demand a level of professionalism, poise, and presence that matches the world-class brand experience they're known for. We're looking for individuals who not only meet this standard but exceed it.

Ideal candidates will come from strong backgrounds in law enforcement, corrections, or security within a high-level federal facility. While a current SPO or SO license is not required to begin, all applicants must be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire. We'll help guide you through that process if needed.

This position involves more than just standing post-it's about delivering security with professionalism, calm authority, and courtesy. You'll be working in a high-traffic, high-visibility environment where your appearance, conduct, and communication matter just as much as your tactical awareness. You'll serve as both a protector and a brand ambassador, helping maintain Apple's retail experience while ensuring the safety of its people and property.

We value candidates who are reliable, punctual, and polished in both appearance and attitude. You should be able to remain calm and composed during high-pressure situations, make quick and effective decisions, and represent both Blueline and Apple with integrity and professionalism. Prior experience in customer-facing roles or high-end retail environments is a plus, especially if you've had to balance service with security.

Responsibilities include

• Maintaining a visible and professional security presence at all times
• Deterring theft and disruptive behavior through a calm and confident demeanor
• Responding to emergencies or incidents with discretion and control
• Documenting events clearly and accurately
• Communicating effectively with Apple staff, law enforcement, and Blueline leadership
• Upholding Apple's premium customer service experience through respectful and courteous engagement
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. work eligibility
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Law Enforcement Officer as part of an office or department (SPO experience does not apply), or prior military service with an honorable discharge.
• Ability to obtain a DC SPO or SO license within 30 days of hire
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Apple or high-end retail security experience
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Active or recently expired DC SPO/SO license
