Responsibilities

• Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Control access points using security systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security breaches or hazards and maintain physical security integrity
• Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future reference and legal compliance
• Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as required to ensure safety standards are maintained
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining a professional demeanor

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement roles with knowledge of surveillance technology and access control systems
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident management
• Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and CCTV operations
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and perform physical security duties effectively
• Additional skills such as Taser certification, fire safety knowledge, conflict management techniques, and experience with law enforcement procedures are advantageous
