Bluegrass Orthopaedics (BGO) is seeking a full-time, hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational performance of multiple clinical and administrative locations.

Scope:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operational functionality of all company facilities. This role ensures that our workspaces are safe, efficient, and well-maintained, while coordinating vendors, equipment, and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Facilities Management:
- Maintain the physical spaces, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Inspect facilities and equipment regularly, identifying repairs or maintenance needs.
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and coordinate work orders.
- Manage facility-related vendors and service contracts, including janitorial, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Maintain files for warranties, service agreements, licenses, inspections, and contracts.
- Maintain inventory, storage, and distribution of supplies for facilities and maintenance operations.
- Oversee a department budgets, estimating costs for repair projects, and tracking expenditures.
- Plan and oversee renovations, expansions, and relocation projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and other regulatory standards.
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and coordinate drills, evacuation plans, and disaster response.
Security Management:
- Oversee all security system software.
- Oversee all badging software.
- On-call for after-hours security-related incidents.
- Point of contact for all local law enforcement officials.
- First point of contact for security-related vendors.
- Review and maintain security footage and camera system.
- Visit all locations as needed.
Leadership & Supervision:
- Supervise and provide guidance to direct reports, ensuring responsibilities are fulfilled effectively.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster professional development for team members.
- Manage scheduling, workload distribution, and task prioritization for direct reports.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration within the department and across the organization
Qualifications & Supervision:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Trade School Certification or an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in facilities management or building operations.
- Project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supervising staff and managing vendors.
- Ability to act quickly and make decisions in emergency situations.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between multiple facility locations.
