Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Infusion in Batavia, NY. This position provides direct nursing care to outpatient infusion patients and requires strong clinical assessment, medication administration, patient monitoring, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to outpatient infusion patients.
- Administer IV medications, infusions, and other treatments as ordered.
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition, adverse reactions, and treatment-related complications.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Document assessments, treatments, medications, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain patient safety and follow infection-control procedures and clinical standards.
- Provide patient education regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN nursing experience.
- Recent infusion, oncology, or outpatient nursing experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hematology/oncology nursing experience.
- Outpatient infusion center experience.
- Chemotherapy or immunotherapy administration experience.
- Experience with IV access and vascular access devices.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
Experience:
- Recent infusion, oncology, or outpatient : 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Active New York RN License (Required)
