Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and behavior management strategies.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Engage with children through interactive activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
- Implement instructional activities designed for toddlers, preschoolers, or students with special needs such as autism or disabilities.
- Help facilitate classroom routines and transitions smoothly while ensuring individual attention for children with diverse needs.
- Support with childcare duties including diapering, feeding, and supervising during playtime or nap time in daycare or preschool settings.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational environment.
- Assist in behavior management techniques to promote positive conduct and emotional regulation among students.
- Contribute to classroom documentation and progress reports to track each child's growth and development.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school environments is preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience with classroom management techniques that support positive behavior and engagement.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, parents, and children alike.
