The Role:
We're looking for a Boot Fitter / Retail Associate who shares our enthusiasm for outdoor sports and thrives in a customer-focused retail environment. As a boot fitter, you'll use your technical expertise to ensure every customer walks out with boots that fit perfectly and perform beautifully. As a retail associate, you'll help create a welcoming atmosphere, guide customers through product selections, and contribute to the overall success of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert boot fitting services (ski/snowboard), including shell modifications, footbed construction, and alignment assessments.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and gear recommendations based on individual needs and experience levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space.
- Stay up to date with the latest gear, brands, and fitting technologies.
- Support inventory management, including restocking and reorganizing product.
- Assist with other shop duties as needed, including rental operation and minor equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Certified Boot Fitter (e.g., MasterFit, BootDoc, or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in boot fitting or technical outdoor gear sales.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours.
- Passion for outdoor sports and the mountain lifestyle.
Bonus Experiences:
- Experience with ski tuning.
- Custom insoles.
- Certified Boot Fitter (e.g., MasterFit, BootDoc, or equivalent).
- Other shop services.
