Location: Detroit Lakes, MN Area

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Weekends: None
Wage: $18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience

At Blue Sky Inc., we provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, helping them build independence, develop skills, and succeed in their communities. We’re looking for a dependable and encouraging Job Coach to join our Detroit Lakes team.

This position offers a consistent Monday through Thursday evening schedule from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, making it a great fit for someone looking for predictable part-time hours without weekend shifts.

What You’ll Do

As a Job Coach, you’ll work alongside individuals with disabilities at community-based job sites, providing hands-on training, encouragement, and support. Your goal is to help each person develop the skills and confidence needed to be successful and as independent as possible in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide job coaching and skill development at community employment sites
• Help individuals learn job duties, workplace routines, and employer expectations
• Support individuals in building independence and transferring skills between work environments
• Assist individuals in meeting workplace and production expectations during training
• Encourage the development of workplace communication, social skills, self-awareness, and confidence
• Maintain professional communication with employers, team members, individuals served, and other members of their support team
• Work collaboratively with employers to identify strategies or reasonable modifications that support workplace success
• Complete required documentation and scheduled follow-up activities
• Serve as a positive and professional role model in workplace and community settings

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable and able to consistently work Monday - Thursday from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to transport individuals as required by the position
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently in a variety of community and employment settings
• Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt your coaching approach to individual needs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Ability to meet applicable state and county licensing requirements and successfully complete required background screening
