Position Overview:
The Director of Sales (DOS) is a key member of the hotel’s leadership team, responsible for leading all sales efforts to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando East – UCF Area. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, dynamic leader with a strong background in hotel sales, particularly in the university, corporate, SMERF, and group markets. This is a hands-on role requiring strategic thinking, team leadership, and direct sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals in all market segments (group, transient, corporate, SMERF, university, etc.).

Lead and manage the sales team, providing training, direction, and performance management to ensure revenue production and client satisfaction.

Actively solicit new business through outside sales calls, networking, site visits, and community involvement.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, accounts, and local organizations, including UCF and surrounding business partners.

Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Manager to develop pricing strategies and ensure optimal revenue management.

Monitor competitive set performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Oversee the creation of compelling proposals, contracts, and marketing materials in alignment with Hilton brand standards.

Represent the hotel at trade shows, client events, and industry functions to promote business development.

Manage sales department budget, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring goals are achieved within financial parameters.
Qualifications:

Minimum 3–5 years of successful hotel sales leadership experience; Hilton brand experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success in managing group and corporate business in a competitive market.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in sales systems such as Delphi.fdc, OnQ, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of the Orlando/UCF market is a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for events or networking.
