Operations Training Specialist

We're seeking an Operations Training Specialist who enjoys teaching, coaching, and developing production employees while helping improve quality, consistency, and performance on the manufacturing floor.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who naturally enjoys mentoring others and wants to make a direct impact on workforce development.
What You'll Do
- Deliver hands-on training for new and existing production employees.
- Coach team members on manufacturing processes, quality standards, and best practices.
- Cross-train employees across multiple production areas to build workforce flexibility.
- Evaluate employee proficiency and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Develop and maintain training materials, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Partner with production leadership to identify training needs and close performance gaps.
- Support standardized work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help ensure training documentation remains organized, current, and audit-ready.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial operations experience.
- Experience training, mentoring, coaching, onboarding, or serving as a lead within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working directly on the production floor in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to learn new manufacturing processes quickly and teach them effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing training or instructional experience.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, or training documentation.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Quality Systems.
- Experience conducting employee evaluations or skills assessments.
