Account Coordinator – Service Operations
Location: Houston, Texas
Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid — Anticipated 3 Days On-site / 2 Days Remote
A growing service organization is seeking an Account Coordinator to manage customer work from the completion of a sale through successful service delivery and invoicing. This position is ideal for someone with experience scheduling field technicians, coordinating service logistics, communicating with customers, and keeping multiple work orders moving forward. The Account Coordinator will match technicians to assignments based on their certifications, specialties, and technical capabilities while coordinating the materials, timing, and information needed to complete each job successfully. The position offers extensive training and a potential development path into Account Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate customer work from the completed sale through service delivery and invoicing.
- Schedule and assign field technicians based on availability, certifications, specialties, and job requirements.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, customer access, and other service logistics.
- Communicate scheduling updates and service status to customers and internal teams.
- Monitor open work orders and help resolve scheduling or execution issues.
- Support quoting, documentation, billing, and invoicing activities.
- Maintain accurate information within company and service-management systems.
- Collaborate with technicians, Account Managers, operations, and accounting teams.
- Adapt to evolving technology, processes, and business needs.
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in service coordination, technician scheduling, dispatch, project coordination, or a related operational role.
- Experience coordinating field technicians or skilled service personnel is strongly preferred.
- Experience matching technicians to assignments based on skills, certifications, or technical capabilities is highly valued.
- A background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, construction, industrial service, fire protection, marine service, or a similar technician-based environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active jobs and shifting priorities.
- Clear and professional customer communication skills.
- Comfort learning new technology, workflows, and technical service offerings.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, dispatch, or field-service software is preferred.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Houston.
