Paraprofessional (Level 2-3 with ABA Training)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, Daytime School Hours
Location: Onsite in West Babylon, NY
Summary:
We are seeking experienced, compassionate Paraprofessionals with functional ABA knowledge to support students in school-based special education.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy applying higher-level ABA strategies in a structured, meaningful environment and want to make a real impact on young adults preparing for greater independence.
What You'll Do:
- Provide individualized, hands-on support to students throughout the school day
- Implement ABA-based strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, task analysis, and behavior support plans
- Support development of functional life skills, vocational readiness, social communication, and independence
- Collect basic data and share observations with classroom staff and clinical teams
- Collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment
What We're Looking For:
- Paraprofessional experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
- Experience working with students strongly preferred
- Professional, reliable, and confident supporting students with higher needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
