Blue Sea Educational Consulting is seeking compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapists (OTR/Ls) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for an opportunity in Amityville, NY.
In addition to this specific opening, we have multiple school-based and home-based opportunities available throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Whether you’re looking to add one case to your schedule, build a part-time caseload, or create a fuller schedule, our team will work with you to identify placements based on your location, availability, experience, and preferred caseload.
Blue Sea partners with 85 school districts across Long Island, providing supplemental and support services to students in grades K–12 during the school day, after school, and in their homes.

- Rates of $70–$100 per hour for OTR/L opportunities, based on experience and assignment
Interested in the Levittown opportunity but looking for additional hours? We can work with you to build a larger caseload using other available cases in your preferred area.
What You’ll Do
- Provide individualized occupational therapy services based on each student’s IEP and identified needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions that support functional, academic, sensory, fine-motor, and developmental goals
- Support students in developing independence, participation, and daily living skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Establish measurable short- and long-term goals in collaboration with the student’s educational team
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other related service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with New York State and applicable district requirements
- Participate in evaluations and treatment planning as required by the assigned case
- Manage and maintain an active caseload
Requirements
- Active New York State Occupational Therapist license and registration (OTR/L) or New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license and registration
- OTR/L candidates must hold a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Pediatric, school-based, or home-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a supportive clinical team
- Reliable transportation to assigned locations
- Must reside in Nassau County, Suffolk County, or Eastern Queens
