A leading North American manufacturer is looking for a Senior Manager, Organizational Development & Effectiveness to help shape and build the company’s OD and effectiveness strategy from the ground up. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen leadership capability, improve succession depth, and create a culture of continuous development across a 6,500-employee organization with 16 manufacturing facilities.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent, this person will take the lead in designing and delivering programs that drive organizational health, leadership readiness, and change adoption. It’s a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure out of white space and influencing across a fast-moving, growth-oriented business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing an organizational development roadmap that supports long-term business goals
- Building and implementing leadership development and succession programs across operations
- Leading and developing two field-based POD (People & Organizational Development) leaders
- Partnering with HR and operations leaders to strengthen succession planning and internal mobility
- Creating practical change management tools and frameworks to support key initiatives
- Serving as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on culture, capability, and engagement
Ideal background:
- 10 years of experience in organizational development, talent management, or learning and development within a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven track record building OD or leadership programs from the ground up
- Strong understanding of succession planning, leadership frameworks, and change management
- Confident working directly with senior business and HR leaders; skilled in facilitation and influence
- Experience with platforms such as SuccessFactors, DDI, or LinkedIn Learning a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
