The Opportunity
Linfield University invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Admissions. The successful candidate will bring a strong history of recruiting and shaping incoming student classes across first-year, transfer, online, and graduate populations.
A key focus of the role will be leading enrollment growth initiatives, strengthening recruitment strategy and communication efforts, and leveraging recruitment technology — including Slate CRM — to enhance prospect engagement and application conversion. The Director will also play a critical role in developing recruitment strategies for new and future academic programs, particularly at the graduate level.
Reporting to the Chief Enrollment Management and Marketing Officer, the Director of Admissions will lead an admissions team of approximately 15 staff members, including roughly five direct reports.
What You’ll Do
- Lead undergraduate, transfer, online, and graduate recruitment strategies to drive enrollment growth.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing admissions and recruitment team.
- Optimize the use of Slate CRM and recruitment technology to improve communication, segmentation, and application processing campaigns.
- Develop individualized recruitment plans for new and future academic programs, particularly graduate offerings.
- Shape incoming student classes that support institutional enrollment goals.
- Collaborate closely with campus leadership and enrollment partners to strengthen admissions operations and student outreach efforts.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Earned Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of university admissions experience.
- Minimum of two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven success driving enrollment growth and shaping incoming student classes.
- Experience building and leading successful recruitment teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment technology and CRM optimization, preferably Slate.
