SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-3:30p
Summary
Perform production, assembly, packaging, material handling, lawn care, landscaping, woodworking, quality control, and related work services activities in accordance with established production standards, customer specifications, safety requirements, and agency procedures. This position is responsible for producing quality work efficiently, maintaining an organized work area, properly handling materials and equipment, completing required production records, and following all applicable safety and operational procedures.

Summary
Perform production, assembly, packaging, material handling, lawn care, landscaping, woodworking, quality control, and related work services activities in accordance with established production standards, customer specifications, safety requirements, and agency procedures. This position is responsible for producing quality work efficiently, maintaining an organized work area, properly handling materials and equipment, completing required production records, and following all applicable safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and package products according to established production rates, specifications, and quality standards
- Perform material handling of supplies and materials for inventory and work sites
- Maintain an orderly and organized inventory and storage area at the assigned workstation
- Assist with quality control procedures to ensure products meet customer and manufacturer specifications
- Inspect materials and completed work as required by customers and established procedures
- Maintain quality standards while efficiently using supplies, materials, tools, machinery, and equipment
- Perform lawn care and landscaping activities according to established schedules and procedures
- Mow and trim grass and maintain lawns, lots, and grounds
- Perform mulching, raking, trimming, weed control, and minor tree pruning
- Perform trash and debris removal from lots, grounds, and work areas
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance on lawn care and landscaping equipment
- Set up and operate woodworking equipment to process materials for contract work according to established quality standards
- Perform light maintenance on woodworking equipment as required
- Read and use measuring devices, rules, calipers, and other measurement tools accurately
- Perform basic mathematical calculations necessary to complete assigned production and work service duties
- Complete job costing, production records, and other required documentation accurately and timely
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- General industrial experience preferred, including packaging, assembly, material handling, lawn care, landscaping, or related work
- Experience requirements may vary based on the specific duties and job assignments
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to work in environments involving dust, gas, chemical odors, and/or fumes
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of approximately 15–20 feet
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver loaded skids of materials using a hydraulic floor jack
- Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and handle materials for assembly, packaging, and material handling activities
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver power-driven and hand-operated lawnmowers, power trimmers, and related equipment
- Ability to operate woodworking and other production equipment
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks associated with production, material handling, lawn care, landscaping, and assembly work
- Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, gas, chemical odors, fumes, and other conditions associated with industrial and outdoor work environments
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on assigned duties
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles as required
- Valid driver’s license required when operating an agency vehicle
- Ability to demonstrate responsible and safe use of agency vehicles and equipment
- Complete all required agency, department, job-specific, equipment, and safety training
