Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming rest area environment for visitors. The Janitorial Associate completes daily cleaning, trash removal, basic groundskeeping, and customer-service duties while following safety procedures and established cleaning schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, floors, windows, drinking fountains, benches, and other public areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and complete ongoing spot cleaning throughout the facility
- Empty trash containers and remove litter from the building, parking lots, and grounds
- Clean exterior walkways and maintain the overall appearance of the rest area
- Greet visitors, answer questions courteously, and report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Safely use cleaning supplies, floor-care equipment, and groundskeeping equipment as assigned
- Complete basic lawn care and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and debris removal, when applicable
- Participate in required training and complete additional duties as assigned
- No experience required; training provided
- Ability to communicate professionally with visitors, coworkers, and supervisors
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow cleaning and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 15–20 feet
- Ability to push and pull up to 20 pounds while operating floor-care equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, as assigned
- Required floor-care and on-the-job training
- Additional safety, equipment, and contract-required training as assigned
