The Campus Recruiting Supervisor is responsible for driving veterinary student-focused talent acquisition initiatives. This includes formulation and execution of current and future strategies. The Campus Recruiting Supervisor provides best-in-class candidate experience to prospective hires. Additional responsibilities consist of promoting the Blue River PetCare brand, attending veterinary school career fairs & adjacent events, and developing relationships with internal and external business partners.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of company’s campus initiatives including:
- Develop and foster relationships with on-campus contacts and student organizations
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for veterinary externs
- Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate adjacent events
- Own master travel schedule and ensure company participation
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies targeting veterinary universities and veterinary medical schools
- Provide guidance and direction to Campus Recruiting Specialists in identifying and hiring newly graduating Doctors
- Develop and analyze outreach metrics to evaluate effectiveness of campus recruitment efforts, adjusting as necessary
- Identify and attract high-quality candidates for student programs and post-graduation employment opportunities
- Represent Blue River PetCare as brand ambassador (virtually and in-person) at career fairs and events
- Maintain records, candidate database, and communication history for students and new graduates
- Other duties as assigned
- Manage and lead Campus Recruiting team, consisting of Campus Recruiting Specialists and Senior Campus Recruiting Specialists
- Coach, train, and develop team to enhance employee skill set
- Create performance goals, regularly communicate feedback, and set deadlines
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of university corporate recruiting experience, veterinary/healthcare background a plus
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- 1 year high-volume recruiting experience, veterinary/healthcare a plus
- Exemplary communication and presentation skills
- Proven self-starter capable of multi-tasking
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% in peak season, based on company-need
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Salesforce experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
- Frequent keyboarding and communicating via call and text
- May occasionally move equipment and supplies up to 20 pounds
- This position is based out of the Chicago, IL office and can be performed in a hybrid or remote manner
