Job Summary:
The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role supervises department staff, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintains high sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, train, and support housekeeping and laundry staff
- Ensure cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, offices, and service areas
- Oversee laundry operations including sorting, washing, drying, and distribution
- Maintain infection control, safety, and sanitation standards
- Coordinate terminal, isolation, and emergency cleaning
- Manage supplies, equipment, and department records
- Participate in in-services, meetings, and QAPI activities
- Provide on-call support for emergencies as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of housekeeping experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
