Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for therapy sessions
- Monitor patient responses during therapy, documenting progress accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information
- Educate patients on exercises and post-treatment care plans to promote ongoing recovery outside of sessions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, and sub-acute settings
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy or rehabilitation support role within hospital or clinical environments
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse populations including geriatrics and orthopedics patients
- Proficiency in patient transfer methods, manual handling techniques, and heavy lifting when necessary
- Familiarity with CPR certification and acute care procedures to respond promptly during emergencies
- Experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings within hospital medicine or post-acute care environments
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality while managing sensitive health information effectively
