Job Overview:
Blue Ridge Pain Management Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient infusion team at our Salem, VA location. This is a part-time position working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
The Infusion RN is responsible for providing safe, high-quality infusion therapy to patients receiving treatments for chronic pain and migraine conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments before, during, and after infusions.
- Start and maintain IV access.
- Administer infusion therapies, including Lidocaine, Ketamine, and Vyepti, according to provider orders.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
- Educate patients on treatment expectations and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
- Collaborate with providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience.
- Strong IV insertion and infusion therapy skills.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
- Previous infusion, pain management, neurology, or outpatient clinic experience is preferred.
Position Highlights:
- Part-time schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays.
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
