What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct - English Language Learning position at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College?
The School of Professional Studies and University Transfer, Humanities Division is currently seeking a qualified applicant to teach English Language Learning I.On Tuesday/Thursday evenings, starting on January 16, 2024, the instructor will teach a class of 24 or fewer students. There is an option to Zoom on one of these two evenings.
In addition to teaching, instructor must track attendance and work with the user-friendly computer platform EnGen, which allows individualized assistance to learners.

Education
- Bachelors degree or higher with relevant course work.
- TESOL, TOEFL, or equivalent recognized certification
- Teaching and tutoring experience preferred.
- Assess student learning and incorporate findings into course delivery
- Support and encourage students in a welcoming classroom climate
- Work with existing materials for instruction
