What You'll Do
As a Thrift Associate, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience while supporting the daily operations of our thrift store.
Your Responsibilities
Create an Inviting Store Environment
✔ High school diploma or GED preferred
✔ Retail And/or Customer Service Experience Preferred
✔ Basic computer skills or willingness to learn
✔ Positive attitude and strong communication skills
✔ Dependable, team-oriented, and self-motivated

Thrift Associate
What You'll Do
As a Thrift Associate, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience while supporting the daily operations of our thrift store.
Your Responsibilities
Create an Inviting Store Environment
- Price, stock, and merchandise donated items
- Design attractive displays that encourage sales
- Keep the sales floor organized and appealing
- Welcome customers with a friendly attitude
- Answer questions and assist shoppers
- Share the mission and impact of Blue Ridge Care
- Sort incoming donations
- Prepare merchandise for sale
- Ensure quality presentation of store items
- Work alongside our amazing volunteers
- Help orient and guide new volunteers
- Promote a safe and positive work environment
- Open and close the store as scheduled
- Maintain accurate sales and donation records
- Support daily deposits and cash handling procedures
- Help keep the store, offices, and restrooms clean and organized
- Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers and donors
- Solve problems proactively
- Support the store's success and mission every day
