Blue Ridge Beverage Company is hiring a Wine Sales Manager that will develop and maintain the wine business across our Abingdon division. This position will create, plan and execute projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy. Duties & Responsibilities
· Evaluate the performance of each team member based on sales performance, customer satisfaction, goal attainment and retail standard execution utilizing retail audit surveys and accountability measures that have a regular cadence established by the Director of Sales.
· Meet and exceed revenue and sales volume portfolio goals across all channels.
· Responsible for managing results through the sales team by onboarding, training, managing, and mentoring, while providing a collaborative environment for both sales and service teams to maximize sales and portfolio growth.
· Promote sales, service, merchandising, proper rotation, draft line cleaning, and relationship building in all accounts. Proactively assess, clarify, and validate channel needs on an ongoing basis.
· Build and maintain interactive communication cadence with key buyers, customers, and suppliers.
· Achieve dominant execution standards for each assigned account with effective distribution, point of sale placement, and use of pricing features, while adhering to Virginia ABC regulations.
· Manage and execute the retail activations and programs of designated brands throughout the channel.
· Monitor and track metrics on all classes of trade programs and all sales objectives to ensure goals are achieved.
· Survey for and communicate competitive activity, pricing, and programs.
· Prepare and submit all ad hoc reporting and information requests in a concise, accurate and timely manner.
· Effectively conduct team meetings that create and review programs, goals, and initiatives to direct and indirect reports to ensure all wine sales team members have the information needed to be successful.
· Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
· Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and ethical behavior.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 7 years of relevant sales or marketing experience. Experience in the three-tier system of beer, wine, or spirits is preferred.
· Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and written and verbal communication skills.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
· Ability to articulate distinct brand and product attributes and competitive position.
· Excellent listening, negotiating and presentation skills with retailers and community partners.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
· Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment with employees at all levels.
· Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.
· Availability to travel, up to 50%.
Salary : $105,000 - $125,000
