Production And Inventory Control Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain accurate systems for recording all inventory transactions
• Monitor and reconcile inventory levels regularly across all storage locations
• Calculate and analyze cost of goods sold and inventory valuation
• Calculate and report on inventory turnover ratios and trends
• Ensure all inventory-related financial data is accurately recorded in the accounting system
• Conduct cycle counts and support physical inventory processes
• Prepare inventory and COGS reports for management and assist with financial close activities
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate with operations to resolve issues
• Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate inventory flow and costing
• Assist with pricing models and margin analysis for new and existing products
• Support external audits and internal control compliance related to inventory and cost accounting

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field – preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory or cost accounting role
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in foodservice distribution, manufacturing, or perishable goods inventory

Skills & Competencies:

• Comfortable learning and navigating new computer systems and ERP platforms
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace (G-Suite)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a professional and confidential approach
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present findings in a clear, actionable manner
• Familiarity with inventory accounting methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) a plus

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based with regular interaction with production, warehouse, and operations personnel
• May require periodic walkthroughs of refrigerated/frozen inventory areas
