Blue Gem Sunglasses focuses on fun, fast-fashion, affordable eyewear with strong retail margins. Blue Planet Eco-Eyewear focuses on sustainable eyewear made from recycled and natural materials, with a giveback mission that includes planting trees and donating corrective eyewear to people in need.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and sales-driven B2B Inside Sales Representative to help grow our wholesale business by supporting existing customers, reactivating past accounts, following up on leads, and helping retailers find the right product mix for their stores.
Position Overview
The B2B Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with wholesale customers, helping drive reorders, supporting new account growth, and making sure retailers are consistently aware of new collections, seasonal opportunities, promotions, trade shows, display programs, and best-selling products.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, customer relationships, follow-up, and helping businesses succeed. The right person will be proactive, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating by phone, email, and online wholesale platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
- Follow up with existing wholesale customers to generate reorders.
- Reach out to lapsed customers who have not ordered recently.
- Contact new leads, catalog requests, trade show leads, website inquiries, and Faire customers.
- Help retailers choose the right product assortment based on their store type, location, customer base, and season.
- Promote new collections, best sellers, seasonal products, and display programs.
- Educate customers on Blue Gem and Blue Planet product lines, pricing, margins, minimums, and promotions.
- Assist with upselling customers into larger orders, display packages, and seasonal assortments.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with assigned accounts.
Customer Communication
- Make outbound calls and send follow-up emails to wholesale customers.
- Respond to customer questions about products, pricing, availability, displays, shipping, and ordering.
- Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to retailers.
- Build long-term relationships with buyers, store owners, and managers.
- Help customers understand which products are best suited for gift shops, boutiques, resorts, spas, hotels, surf shops, and other retail environments.
Order Support
- Assist customers with placing orders through our wholesale website, Faire, sales reps, or internal order systems.
- Review customer order history to recommend smart reorder options.
- Help identify low-inventory or fast-moving items customers may want to restock.
- Work with internal teams to ensure customer needs are communicated clearly.
- Help resolve basic customer service issues related to orders, product questions, or account support.
Sales Campaigns & Follow-Up
- Support seasonal sales pushes around spring, summer, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, trade shows, holiday buying, resort season, and back-to-school.
- Follow up on email campaigns, promotions, catalogs, and trade show outreach.
- Help drive sales around free shipping promotions, new product launches, and display programs.
- Track customer responses and follow-up activity.
- Identify opportunities to increase average order value and reorder frequency.
CRM & Reporting
- Keep customer notes, follow-up tasks, and sales activity organized.
- Track outreach, conversations, leads, and opportunities.
- Report customer feedback, buying trends, objections, and sales opportunities to management.
- Help maintain clean and accurate customer records.
- Provide regular updates on sales pipeline, active accounts, and follow-up progress.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who is confident on the phone, organized with follow-up, and understands that sales is about building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers buy the right products.
You do not need to be an eyewear expert on day one, but you do need to be coachable, motivated, and willing to learn our products, customers, and sales process.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of sales, customer service, account management, or wholesale experience preferred.
- Experience in B2B sales, retail, fashion accessories, gift, resort, boutique, or wholesale industries is a plus.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and sending professional follow-up emails.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple customer follow-ups.
- Comfortable learning sales systems, wholesale platforms, CRM tools, Shopify, Faire, or similar platforms.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be proactive.
- Ability to understand customer needs and recommend products accordingly.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales goals.

Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and may include a base hourly wage or salary plus performance-based incentives or commission opportunities.
