About Us:
Blue Ox LLC is a well-established construction firm specializing in high-end, residential projects. We take pride in our craftmanship and commitment to quality. As we expand our team, we are seeking individuals with no less than 5 years of experience, crewmen that have leadership experience and a high level of attention to detail that custom homes demand.
Areas of Service/Job Site Locations:
Our office is based out of Kalkaska, MI but we serve Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau and Emmet Counties.
Responsibilities:
- Construct wood framed residential homes as well as installation of siding.
- Select materials, cut wood pieces to the correct length, follow blueprints to piece together structure.
- Ensure precise measurements and alignment.
- Collaborate with other team members, including other carpenters, project managers, electricians and plumbers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in framing and siding with references.
- Proficiency in using tools (saws, nail guns, levels, etc.)
- Ability to read and interrupt blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must have a driver's license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
