What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bike Park Trail Guide position at Blue Mountain Resort?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and creates a guest for life. This individual will join the outdoor adventure team. A passion for mountain biking and outdoor recreational activities is a plus!
REQUIREMENTS:
- The desire to be an integral part of a growing team that creates exciting bike trails for our guests
- Must be able to confidently ride all-terrain at Blue Mountain Resort
- Ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner
- Must have an innovative, creative mindset
- The ability to work both independently and within a team, often with little supervision
- Bike repair knowledge a plus
- Must 16 years of age
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Responsible for opening/closing sweep of trails
- Provide exceptional guest service, education, and safety awareness throughout the bike park
- Responsible for proper inspection and testing of features
- Provide guests with guided tours and instruction
- Monitor guest traffic on trails for safety and mechanical issues
- Set up and dispatch rental bikes
- Cleaning of rental bikes
- Repair of rental and guest’s bikes
- Takes lead in answering any guest inquiries and any guest recovery that may arise
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions
