Duties
- Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on functional specifications, business requirements, and technical documentation.
- Perform various testing types such as functional, system, regression, performance, load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software quality.
- Utilize automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices using tools such as Appium and Sauce Labs; ensure compatibility across different devices and operating systems.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects through debugging and troubleshooting, and document issues clearly using defect tracking tools like HP ALM or Jira.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in Agile development cycles by contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings; ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks utilizing JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar scripting languages.
- Proficiency in testing web services and APIs using RESTful API standards; familiarity with SOAP protocols is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB for data validation and analysis.
- Expertise in using version control systems like Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform comprehensive system testing on various operating systems including Windows and Linux; familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and root cause analysis; capable of designing effective test cases that cover functional and non-functional requirements.
- Effective communication skills for documenting test plans, writing detailed defect reports, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
