Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines, including serging and standard sewing machines, to assemble upholstery components efficiently and accurately
- Measure fabric materials and upholstery components using measuring instruments to ensure precise cuts and fits
- Cut fabric manually with sharp cutting tools following detailed patterns and specifications
- Construct seams with proper techniques to ensure durability, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with quality standards in production
- Handle materials carefully during manufacturing processes to prevent damage and waste
- Maintain safety standards in production by following proper procedures and using protective equipment at all times
- Conduct dimensional measurements on finished products to verify accuracy and consistency before final assembly or delivery
Skills
- Proficiency in operating sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and serging equipment
- Strong understanding of seam construction, garment sewing, and upholstery techniques
- Experience with measuring instruments for accurate fabric cutting and product verification
- Knowledge of quality standards in production to ensure high-quality output
- Ability to handle materials efficiently within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with fabric materials used in upholstery projects
- Skilled in manual cutting (fabric cutting) and garment construction processes
- Awareness of safety standards in production environments to maintain a safe workspace
- Experience with sewing, embroidery, and manufacturing processes is advantageous
- Warehouse experience is a plus for understanding inventory handling and materials management
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
